VON WILLEBRAND FACTOR
This test is done to diagnose von Willebrand disease (VWD), and to distinguish between different types of VWD and to study the cause of unexplained excessive or repeated episodes of bleeding.
How to prepare for the test?
Overnight fasting is preferred.Patient should avoid Oral Anticoagulants for 7 days and Heparin for 1 day prior to sampling.
