This assay is used to determine the presence of Lupus anti- coagulant, which is usually associated with an increase in risk of thrombosis.


How to prepare for the test?

It is important that the patient takes prior consent from the physician and discontinues heparin for 1 day and oral anti- coagulants for 7 days prior to the test, because these drugs may affect the test results. Overnight fasting is recommended.
