OXALATE 24 HOURS URINE

The test is used to monitor kidney stone therapy and to detect increased urinary oxalate. The test is also helpful in detecting primary or secondary hyperoxaluria. Use of ascorbic acid will give a false positive for the test.


How to prepare for the test?

Avoid vitamin C and citrus fruits 48 hours prior to specimen collection.
