MYELOPEROXIDASE

This test is used for measuring the level of myeloperoxidase in blood to identify inflammation in the arteries. Myeloperoxidase is also useful for diagnosing myeloid neoplasms, both AML and Myeloid sarcomas. Myeloperoxidase is a special type of protein responsible for chemical changes in the body. It can increase the risk of heart disease by damaging the arteries and reducing the protective effects of high-density lipoprotein.
