HIV DUO (ANTIGEN AND ANTIBODY)

This HIV DUO test helps detect anti-HIV 1 and anti-HIV-2 total immunoglobulins plus HIV-1 p24 antigen. The advantage of testing for p24 is that this indicator of HIV infection can be detected earlier than with tests that only looked for HIV antibodies. This HIV DUO test, including p24 antigen, is considered 99.8 percent accurate at 28 days. However, this accuracy increases to 99.9 percent at 90 days after potential contact.
