HIV-1 RNA PCR QUALITATIVE

HIV-1 RNA PCR is a qualitative test which is used as an aid in the management of patients infected with HIV 1. It is to be noted that this test is not used in the initial stages of diagnosis or even for confirmation of HIV 1 infection, rather it is used to understand patient prognosis and monitor the effects of anti- retroviral drug therapy.
