CMV IgM

CMV is the main cause of illness and death in organ transplant recipients and individuals with impaired immunity. It is also the reason for congenital disease in the infants. For blood sampling, blood is taken from veins in your arm for CMV antibody testing; to detect the virus itself, the sample may be amniotic fluid, sputum, urine, or blood.
