BCR/ABL QUANTITATIVE - RT PCR (PHILADELPHIA)

BCR/ABL Quantitative RT PCR(Philadelphia) is a fusion gene which results from the rearrangement of BCR on chromosome 22 with the ABL on Chromosome 9. This leads to the formation of the Philadelphia chromosome and is found in 95% patients with CML. With the help of this quantitative test, doctors can manage and monitor the disease and its effect after therapy.
