SSB/La and SSA/Ro are classified as extractable nuclear antigens, wherein the later appears in 90 percent in patients with Sjogren'ssyndromee, and 40 to 60 % in patients with Lupus Erythematosus and Rheumatoid arthritis. This test is vital in evaluating patients who have positive ANA and show symptoms of connective tissue disorder.
