VITAMIN B1
The test is used to determine the deficiency of the vitamin B1. The vitamin helps in the metabolism of carbohydrates and amino acids. Deficiency of Vitamin B1 causes a disease called Beri-beri.
How to prepare for the test?
The patient is asked to avoid eating anything for 12 hours and the sample is wrapped in aluminium foil to protect it from light
