TPMT (THIO PURINE METHYL TRANSFERASE) GENOTYPING

This test is recommended for the patients who are scheduled to take the Thiopurine drugs such as Azathioprine, 6-Mercaptopurine, and 6-Thioguanine. It measures the activity of TPMT and patients with low activity are at a great risk of developing drug-induced bone marrow toxicity.
