SEMEN ANALYSIS (SEMINOGRAM)
Semen analysis is useful in determining the extent of male fertility. Number of sperms in a single ejaculation, the volume of a single sperm and the motility of the sperms are a few factors that are taken into consideration during semen analysis.
How to prepare for the test?
Patient must refrain from ejaculation, ideally at least for 3 days prior to collection and the specimen must reach the lab within an hour of collection. It must be noted that the specimen is obtained by the process of masturbation only.
