Parvovirus B19 IgM Ab in Serum

Parvovirus B19 causes Erythema infectiosum that produces mild symptoms. The virus also causes Hydrops fetalis, Arthralgia, and Aplastic crises. If IgM antibodies are detected, it indicates recent infection. The antibodies appear after a recent infection and increases within a month.
