P A S STAIN

Periodic acid-Schiff (PAS) staining is used to spot polysaccharides such as glycogen, mucosubstances such as glycolipids, glycoproteins, and mucins in the tissue. It is also used to detect diseases such as lymphoblastic leukemia, parasite infestation, glycogen storage disease, fungal disease, adenocarcinoma.
