Metanephrine 24 hour Urine
This is a screening test for the diagnosis of Pheochromocytoma & Paragangliomas.
How to prepare for the test?
The patient is advised to avoid Alpha- Methyldopa, Buspirone, Codeine, Isoproterenol metabolite, Mandelamine, L-dopa, Paracetamol, Metoclopramide, pepper, alcoholic beverages, tea/coffee, tobacco and strenuous exercise at least 3 days before and during the collection of sample.
