MEASLES IgM ANTIBODIES

This test is used to detect IgM antibody to rubella in the blood. Presence of antibodies indicates active measles infection. Antibodies are detectable 11 to 25 days after the onset of exanthem, 15 to 20 days after the vaccination and 2 to 3 weeks after birth in 90- 97% infants with congenital rubella.
