HCV RNA QUALITATIVE

HCV RNA test is used to determine whether a patient suffers from chronic hepatitis C. The qualitative test uses two processes viz polymerase chain reaction (PCR) or transcription-mediated amplification (TMA). Either of the processes is used to test for hepatitis C in the bloodstream and the results are deemed more reliable as they can effectively detect even low levels of the virus.
