Folic Acid Serum

Folic acid is also known as vitamin B-9. It helps in the production of RBCs, WBCs and platelets in the body. For a developing fetus, vitamin B-9 is essential as it helps in normal growth and development of the fetus, which is why the presence of folic acid is very important for pregnant women as it helps prevent neural tube defects. A folic acid test helps measure the levels of folic acid in the blood.
