FACTOR XIII - SCREENING
The test is used to determine the deficiency of Factor XIII in the blood. The deficiency of Factor XIII is associated with a rare hemorrhagic disease.
How to prepare for the test?
The patient is advised to stop eating at night. A brief clinical history is taken. The doctor will advise to stop taking the Heparin for a day and oral anti-coagulants for a week prior to the test. Discontinuation of medicines is done after consulting with the physician.
