FACTOR VII ASSAY
It is a blood test that is done to measure the activity of factor VII. This is a protein in the body that helps in the blood clotting.
How to prepare for the test?
The patient is advised to stop eating at night. A brief clinical history is taken. The doctor will advise to stop taking the Heparin for a day and oral anti-coagulants for a week prior to the test. Discontinuation of medicines is done after consulting with the physician.
