CADMIUM
In order to detect exposure to cadmium, which may damage kidney, this test is carried out. Cadmium vapour fumes also lead to chronic emphysema. The common source of cadmium exposure is spray painting and tobacco smoke which leads to toxicity among everyone.
How to prepare for the test?
Seafood should be avoided 3 days prior to the test. If Gadolinium or Iodine containing contrast media has been administered, specimen should not be collected for 96 hours. Use only specified containers available from LPL.
