BCR/ABL QUALITATIVE - RT PCR (PHILADELPHIA)

BCR-ABL gene is formed by a fusion which is caused by the rearrangement of BCR on chromosome 22 with ABL protooncogene on chromosome 9. This leads to the formation of Philadelphia chromosome and this rearrangement is evident in at least 95% of patients with CML.
