Anti Nuclear Antibody (ANA) TITRE

The test helps in the diagnosis of autoimmune diseases such as SLE, Mixed connective tissue disease, Rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren's syndrome, Progressive systemic sclerosis, and CREST syndrome. The incidence of low titer ANA positivity increases with age in normal individuals. Many drugs, such as Hydralazine and Procainamide may aggravate the production of ANA.
