ANTI CENTROMERE ANTIBODIES

The Centromere antibodies are found in patients with CREST syndrome. It can also be seen in patients who suffer from Primary biliary cirrhosis, Rheumatoid arthritis and LE. The test is used to aid in the diagnosis of CREST syndrome and for evaluating patients who show signs of Systemic sclerosis.
