ANCA PROFILE (MPO & PR3)

Antineutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody (ANCA) is a blood test in which the levels are found elevated in patients with diseases such as granulomatosis with polyangiitis, microscopic polyangiitis and Churg Strauss syndrome. The ANCA antibodies mostly against myeloperoxidase (MPO) and are found usually in vasculitides. c-ANCA are antibodies against proteinase 3 (PR3) and are seen generally in Wegener's disease.


How to prepare for the test?

Fasting overnight prior to the test is mandatory.
