This test is widely used to detect the presence of Ethyl Glucuronide (EtG) and Ethyl Sulphate (EtS) in urine. The main purpose of this test is to document required alcohol abstinence. Alcoholics practising abstinence have no detectable levels of EtG or EtS in their urine after almost 80 hours of detoxification.
