Generally, the skin prick method is used in which the skin is exposed to small amounts of coconut or coconut related products and then if you develop a small bump or irritation in that location, it is determined that you tested positive for the allergen test. However, there are other methods like the IgE antibody allergy test in which a blood sample is used to determine if you're allergic to coconut or coconut related products like coconut oil.
