Triglycerides – Serum
Triglycerides are a type of fat (lipid) found in your blood and are the main ingredient in vegetable oils and animal fats. The triglyceride test measures the level of triglycerides in the blood. High triglyceride levels may increase the risk of stroke, heart attack, and heart disease.
How to prepare for the test?
The patient is asked not to eat anything 8 to 14 hours before the test.
